In honor of Josh Rogers, Brett Wagner, and their families the East Manatee Bulldogs are dedicating their new building in the names Josh and Brett.
“We will be dedicating the building at our next big event, either in the spring or the fall.”, said Kendall. Yesterday after the bad news that Josh too had passed. Kendall posted on Facebook, “Today, Josh Rogers lost his battle with injuries sustained in the automotive accident that had already claimed the life of Brett Wagner on Christmas night. I can not begin to imagine what the families are going through at this time. The Bulldog association is deeply indebted to both the Wagner and Rogers families as they had key roles in the building and success of the association. While Jerome, Gena, Debbie, Fred, and Austin worked hard on the board and sidelines, Brett and Josh played hard and displayed great sportsmanship, and leadership on the field. The collective heart of the Bulldog Nation goes to the Wagner and Rogers families during this extremely tough time.”
There were countless people of all ages at the bonfire lastnight hosted by Myakka Family Worship Center. It was an amazing site that so many were from the EMB family. In the words of EMB Football Commissioner Bobby Barnes, “Once you are part of the Bulldog family, you are part of it for life.” Well, that couldn’t have been more true last night as a former EMB coach and announcer made an announcemnt over the PA calling the boys one last time by name and number as captains of their EMB team.
Thank you all for the memories and may God Bless each and everyone of you.
